STM

Well, I have found another Australian company making accessories for the iPad (plus MacBook’s – Pro, Air etc), and they are located in Bondi, Sydney. STM (Standard Technical Merchandise) is an environmentally friendly company which was founded in 1998. The warranties that this company gives are pretty good, if any bag is found to be defective in any way it will be either replaced or repaired…. Nice!

I recently bought an STM iPad2 case and have found it to be pretty high quality. It is thin and therefore does not make the iPad2 feel bulky as some other cases on the market do. It has a soft inner to surround the iPad with a hard shell to give it some protection. The iPad2 fits perfectly and does not even move slightly.

It even has a cover that awakens the iPad2 and will then put it back to sleep when you close it, how great is that!

So yes this is another Australian company to support! Once again not just because they are Australian but because they are putting out great products and have been for years!

Gecko Gear

Gecko Gear is an Australian based company creating accessories specifically for Apple products such as the iPad, iPod Touch and various versions of the iPhone.

I have been using Gecko Gear screen guards and cases for my Apple products for several years now and have always found them to be the best quality for me.  They are well made, always fit the item well and are priced competitively. They have a huge product range and they can be found in a lot of shops around Australia.

I love that these products are designed in Australia as I think they may be the only company doing this, I would love them to be made in Australia as well though.

Please support this Australian company, not only because they are Australian but because they are making quality products.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year Everyone! I hope you all have a fantastic 2012! May it be filled with good health, love, laughter and lots of great tech gear. Thank you so much for checking out my website, hope you have enjoyed the reviews! Get ready for lots more in 2012!

Instagram Coming To Android

Instagram Application icon

For all you Android photography fans out there, some good news this week. Kevin Systrom (Instagram CEO) has confirmed that yes they are working on an Android version of the application. Two of the six Instagram staff will be dedicated to working on the Android app.

This is great news as I do love Instagram on the iPhone and I cannot wait to see what they do with the Android version. Hopefully the take up in the Android community will be the same as it has been for the iOS version. More
